WestJet Optimizes Booking Experience with INFINI

WestJet, Canada’s low-cost carrier connecting Japan with a network of international, domestic, and regional flights, has launched INFINI’s Interactive Seat Map (IMAP) and Interactive Pre-Reserved Seat (IPRS) solutions.  This integration streamlines and accelerates seat selection management for the airline and its valued travel agent partners in the Japanese market.

INFINI’s IMAP provides travel agents with a standardized, EDIFACT-based view of WestJet’s seat map directly within the INFINI system.  This seamless integration allows for real-time seat availability updates and, when combined with INFINI EMD-A, can display applicable seat selection charges, ensuring transparency for customers.

The IPRS feature empowers travel agents to pre-reserve seats during the booking process, eliminating the need for separate seat assignment requests. This significantly reduces the workload for airlines, improves efficiency for travel agents, and enhances the overall customer experience by allowing passengers to secure their preferred seats at the time of booking.
