ZIPAIR to Restart NRT-HNL Flight from July 21
ZIPAIR, the low-cost long-haul subsidiary under Japan Airlines, announced its planned restart of flights between Narita International Airport (NRT) and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) from July 21. The flights will be operated once a week on Wednesday (NRT-HNL) and Thursday (HNL-NRT) per each direction through October 28 and tickets are on sale from May 27.
The airline also announced that they will begin the State of Hawaii’s “Pre-Clearance program”. Travelers from Japan who submit a negative certificate issued within 72 hours before departure will be exempt from 10 days self-quarantine after arrival in Hawaii. In this “Pre-Clearance program”, ZIPAIR staff will check passengers’ documents at the time of departure and allow them to forgo a procedure by state quarantine officers on their arrival. In addition, the airline will offer a new option of pre-departure PCR test for passengers departing from NRT. The price of the option is JPY 30,500.
